Creating Videos

At times I feel it is not feasible to teach everything in a classroom due to scarcity of time. There is so much and so much to teach and learn in mathematics. I am always fascinated towards learning short cut techniques in mathematics. In my free/arrangement periods I use to talk to students about Vedic Mathematics . Web 2.0 at warped speed

I have somehow been propelled into this new world and it is wonderful!! It is very difficult to keep track of all of the good things that I am learning and share with all of my colleagues. The most invigorating part is to meet people from all over and share ideas, hear their stories. I can't believe that educators have these tools!! It awakens all of why I started teaching 16 years ago all over again. I am teaching a course this summer in my district and I am excited!!

Finding a balance - mentoring an online life?

This evening I was spending time do other things besides being online - parent things like going to hockey practice, reading stories, playing mini-sticks and yucking it up with my teenage daughters. It was one of those evenings of which I’ve spent plenty just being “home”. I didn’t have to rush off to a meeting or feel the need to check in with the online world.

Later on, once children were in bed and studying, I sat down to check in and see what was happening
